How we review
The shortlist
We start from games where you manage a whole club against other human managers, then drop anything we cannot confirm is still running. A game that keeps nearly all its information behind a login stays off the board until we can verify the basics.
What we check on the official site
Whether the game is live and playable; where it runs (browser, app or both); how it is paid for (free to start, and what the optional paid layer is called and covers); the season and match rhythm, where it is published; and the main features in the publisher's own words.
We read the official pages, help sections, rules and store listings published by the game's owner, and list every page we used at the end of each review together with the date we read it.
What we never do
No scores and no star ratings. No invented numbers, quotes, user reviews or awards. No guesses dressed as facts: when a public page does not say something, our review says that it does not. No affiliate links.
Opinion, clearly marked
Reviews also contain our view on who a game suits and where it falls short. That part is opinion, written to help you choose, and we try to make it obvious which sentences are facts from the publisher and which are our reading.
Corrections
Games change after we visit. If something is out of date, write to [email protected] with a link to the official source and we will recheck it.
