Our transfer budget

Where the money comes from

Formation Folio plans to fund itself through partner programmes run by game publishers. Sign on to a game through a partner link on this board and that game's publisher may pay us a commission. Your account, your club and your bill are exactly what they would be otherwise.

What it cannot buy

A kinder review, a softer weak spot or a place higher up the line-up: the board order is not a ranking, and no publisher can change it.

A recommendation either. If a game is wrong for the kind of manager you are, the review still tells you to pass, partner programme or not.

Spotting a partner link

Partner codes can only appear on the routes out to a game's official site: the yellow button in each review and the official-site link on each card. Each one wears a small tag underneath, partner link, or the straight-to-publisher tag when no code rides on it. Search engines see them flagged as sponsored in the page code. Source links at the foot of every review never carry a code.

Still no adverts

No cookies, no visitor statistics and no adverts on the board. Following a partner link tells the publisher one thing only: the visitor arrived from Formation Folio.
