goalunited LEGENDS gives you two jobs at once: manager and coach. It runs in the browser, and its official site credits Travian Games GmbH as the owner of the trademark and northworks Software GmbH in Hamburg as the developers, who have worked on the goalunited series since 2006.

What it is

The site describes it as a soccer manager simulator with real depth, and calls it a new-generation browser game that is free to play. At its heart is a detailed match calculation system. Around that, you grow your stadium into a major arena, bring in sponsors and new staff, and develop young talent, which the site points out also saves money.

The club's surroundings matter as much as the pitch. To keep up with fans whose expectations rise with every success, the site mentions a bigger fan shop, a fast food restaurant, a parking garage or a train station near the stadium. If you enjoy the business side of a club as much as the tactics, this is the game on our board that leans into it hardest.

How a season feels

On the coaching side you shape your players' training around the season's objectives, read the last match report and judge each player's form on the day before you set the strategy for the next opponent. When a key player gets injured in training, the real-time transfer market is the quick fix, and a good club doctor helps him back.

The game rules allow one account per manager, with up to three clubs on that account through a feature called Top Manager. That suits anyone who wants to try a second approach without starting again from nothing.

Time it asks of you

The public site does not publish a match calendar or season length, so we will not put a number on it. What we can say is that there are a lot of moving parts here, from training and transfers to sponsors, staff and building work, and each of them invites a regular visit.

Plan for steady check-ins rather than one long weekly session, and look at the in-game help for the exact schedule once you have joined. If you know you will disappear for a while, the inactivity rules described below are worth reading first.

How it pays its way

goalunited LEGENDS is free to play in the browser, with an optional premium account. The game rules note that accounts with an active premium account are protected from being deleted for inactivity, although a club that goes bankrupt through neglect can still be reset.

A news post on the official site from 23 October 2026 mentions a premium option for uploading a custom club logo, which was temporarily unavailable at the time. Beyond that, the public pages do not list the premium contents in detail, so check inside the game before buying.
